Jean Mary Nelson was one of twelve children born to the Ipte John Wesley Jerrett Sr. and Mary Jnne Nichols Jarrett. She was born November 16, 1903 In Tonganoxle, Kansas. She received her education In the public school In Tonganoxie.

She was united In marriage to Frank Nelson who preceded her In death. She lived In Lawrence, Kansas and Llnwood, Kansas before returning to Tonganoxle 14 years ago.

Mrs. Nelson was a maintenance worker at the University of Kansas retiring In 1967.

She was a member of First Baptist Church for over 50 years. A member of the Senior Choir and Martha Circle.

She departed this life March 30, 1991 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital In Lawrence, Kansas.

She leaves to mourn her demise; one brother, Charles Jarrett; one sister, Ann Jarrett, both of the home; three sister In laws, Marie Jarrett, Gladys Jarrett, Tonganoxie; Edith Jarrett, Kansas City, KS; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
