Gladys Ida Jarrett, 83, Tonganoxie, Kansas, died Friday, February 6, 1998 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Lawrence, Kansas.
Mrs. Jarrett was born March 6, 1914 in Tonganoxie, the daughter of Louis and Mae King Bell. She was a 50 year member of the First Baptist Church, Tonganoxie and a member of the Siloam Chapter #10 Order of the Eastern Star, Lawrence, Kansas. She was united in marriage July 25, 1938 in Kansas City, Kansas to William D. Jarrett, Sr., who preceded her in death October 15,1980.
She is survived by four sons, WilliamD. Jarrett, Jr., Lawrence; Charles L. Jarrett, Lawrence; Jackson E. Jarrett, Tonganoxie and Timothy J. Jarrett, San Diego, California; one brother, Louis Bell, Denver, Colorado; six sisters, Marie Jarrett, Tonganoxie; Daisy June Boone, Kansas City, Missouri; Sarah Alexander, Denver; Rosie Ferrel, Leavenworth, Kansas; Jane Carter, Denver and Violet Pettis, Kansas City, Missouri; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
