On Thursday morning May 26, 1983, at 9:45 A.M. Mr. John Westley Jarrett stepped from this life into an everlasting eternity.
Mr. John Westley Jarrett was born December 23 ,. 1901 in Tonganoxie, Kansas to John Westley Jarrett, Sr. and Mary Jane Nichols Jarrett who both preceded him in death.
He received his education in the public schools of Tonganoxie.
At an early age he received Christ and joined the First Baptist Church, Tonganoxie, Kansas, where he remained faithful until his Illness.
He was united in marriage to Marie Bell on September 22, 1933, to this union one son was born, John Urschel Jarrett.
Mr. Jarrett was a Fast Master of Western Star Lodge # 1; Worthy Patron of Siloam Chapter # 10,.Order of the Eastern Star and Joshua flf Chloe Green # 27, Heroines of Jericho.
He leaves t,o mourn his demise, a loving and devoted wife,. Marie Jarrett of the home; one son; John Urschel of California; one brother, Mr. Charles Jarrett of the city; three sisters; Mrs. Effa Jackson, Mrs. Jean Nelson, and Miss. Ann Jarrett of the city, a host of other devoted relatives and friends,
